Earlier I had mentioned sunsets, well during our evening walks I thought I would capture a few overlooking the bay where the lobster boats come in.

These pictures were taken over two days with the last one on the eve of our departure from South Addison.  Our last day ended with a tear in Joan's eye as her sister and cousin left us to return home.  It was a great visit and we all had a good time.

Our next move would find us at Boyden Lake in Perry, Maine, on the border of New Brunswick.  When we arrived it was storming and cold.  Our new camp looked to be a delight even in the gloom.  As we entered we found the roof leaking and it was so cold we thought there would be icicles hanging from the ceiling.  The girls jumped to the task of finding buckets for the leaks while us guys (a little chest pounding) tended to the fire making as the night was fast approaching.  With everything under control we settled in for the evening with hopes of sun in the morning.  Morning came and no sun but at least the rain had stopped.  At least we were warm and looked forward to exploring the area when it was discovered there were plumbing problems!

We found a phone number for the property manager who turned out to be an angel by the name of Meg.  She felt it would take to long to make repairs but she had a small cottage next to her home in Eastport and it was offered to us.

The picture is taken from the beach looking up to the house on the cliffs.  It is a lovely home built by Meg's late husband.  The interior had many hand carved trim items from all over the world and is beyond my ability to describe.  We spent a week here overlooking Cobscook Bay and the Bay of Fundy.

While staying in Eastport we visited Campobello Island, NB, and enjoyed a tour of FDR's summer home shown here.  An interesting item is that while this home is in Canada the cost of it's upkeep is equally shared by both countries.

The sun has at last come out and it is off to New Brunswick to explore the country side.

This picture was taken from the visitor center in Calais, Maine looking across to the little town of St. Stephen in New Brunswick.

When we arrived in St. Stephen we headed right for the chocolate factory.  We had a great tour and got to eat all the chocolate we wanted but they would not let us fill our pockets!

From St. Stephen we headed over to St. Andrews which is a larger town and a place we will return to visit.  The collection of photos below is just to give you a sampling of the town.
