I looked to where she was pointing and headed over for a closer look as it looked like floating debris.

 

As we got closer we were in for a shock.  There swimming tightly together is a pair of chicks

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We were overjoyed to have found chicks on our pond.  These are the only two we have found.

 

Here comes one of the adults with a snack for one of the chicks.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We did not want to disturb them so we turned our attention back to the adult Loon and were presented with this display of wing stretching.

 

 

 

 

 

The day came to an end but now we had something to keep an eye out for.  We would wait a few days and then go find the chicks.
