It is now August 30th and it will be our last day of photography for August.  Again we went in search of the Loon chicks and when we found them we were amazed to see the growth and pleased to find both still together.  The larger on the left is quickly becoming an adult.

As we watched the two chicks swimming together we noticed the adult arriving with some food and once again the larger stronger chick swam to get fed.

Again more food arrives but not for the little one.

In this picture is looks as though the smaller chick is trying to get food from the larger chick.

We continued to watch the behavior of the two chicks and wondered if the little one was to survive as it appears it is not getting the much needed nourishment.
